One of the features of Ewe is that the very same application can run on both your desktop OS and your mobile OS.
To run these applications on your computer you must install a Ewe VM (Virtual Machine) on your
computer. Ewe is very compact and efficient. It uses only about 2 Mbytes of memory.
Check out Ewe at: http://www.ewesoft.com.
If you want to download one or more Ewe VM's for your computers read about it at Ewe Download and Installation Instructions the end of this page.
When you are not near your handheld but can get on the internet, versions of the following application are now avaiable:
Try them out and if like what you see, bookmark them in your browser.Seven application are available.

Earth&Sun is an application that shows a map of the Earth with Sun illumination and it will also display:
Because of time zone irregularities some will consider Earth&Sun to fall into the category of
"fun and games". We hope you find Earth&Sun useful and enjoy it. If you would like to learn more about Earth&Sun, Click Here for the documentation which comes in the application documentation archive. |
You must read earthsun.html which is included the earthsun10.zip archive. First read the readme.txt file then unzip earthsun10Doc.zip. Using your browser read earthsun.html for instructions on installation and program usage.
| FormulaCalc is a general purpose calculator which accepts algebraic formulas and computes
their values.
The formulas of FormulaCalc:

It can be used as a simple calculator, or one to compute complicated routines which can be stored in a file.
If you would like to learn more about FormulaCalc Click Here for the description which comes in the program archive.

GreatCircle is an application to compute the great circle distance between two locations on Earth. It
also displays the great circle bearing angle from one location to the other. GreatCircle will
accurately compute short distances and thus is useful for geocaching.
GreatCircle displays the following data:
We hope you find GreatCircle a useful adjunct to your Mobile applications. |
If you would like to learn more about GreatCircle,

| GeomagInfo is an application for Ewe to compute the magnetic declination,
inclination, and magnitude for any location on Earth. It displays:
A magnetic compass reading can be corrected to the direction relative to true north by adding the declination to the compass reading. If GeomagInfo is installed on your computer, RiseSet will optionally use it to correct azimuth angles for a magnetic compass. If you would like to learn more about GeomagInfo Click Here for the description which comes in the program archive. |
You must read geomaginfo.html which is included the geomag10.zip archive. First read the readme.txt file, then unzip geomag10Doc.zip. Using your browser read geomaginfo.html for instructions on installation and program usage.
These 2005 models are incorporated in the above Bld:510 geomag10.zip, but not the 2010 versions so you must Download the 2010 models. Put them in the same directory as the 2005 models.
LocEdit is an adjuct application which is only needed to support other application on this web page.LocEdit is an application for Ewe¹ enabled computers to edit Location Data CSV files. These files store information about physical locations on Earth.Location Data CSV files are used by most of the applications available on this web page. Location Data CSV files are simple text files which can be editied by any ASCII text editor. As such, an editor for these file is not needed. However, text file editors on Mobile (handheld) computers are not necessarily readily availiable, and may not be easy to use. Thus LocEdit is provided for your convenience. It has several special operations and conversion functions not usually found in text editors. Included with LocEdit.ewe is a set of Location Data CSV Files so that personalized Location Data CSV Files can created by started with well known locations. |
We hope you find LocEdit a useful adjunct to your Mobile applications.
If you would like to learn more about LocEdit, Click Here to read the documentation which comes in the application documentation archive.
You must read locedit.html which is included the locedit10Doc.zip archive. First read the readme.txt file, then unzip locedit10Doc.zip. Using your browser read locedit.html for instructions on installation and program usage.

Orrery is an application for Ewe enabled computers to show the Solar System in action. Orrery shows positions of the planets with respect to the Sun at any desired date. It may be animated for the future or the past. Orrery displays a variety of data, both angle and distance information. If you would like to learn more about Orrery, Click Here to read the documentation which comes in the application documentation archive. |

The Riseset Application displays information about the rise, transit and set times (among other
data) for the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Any date and user location may
be specified.
Riseset has good accuracy for visual sighting. The actual sun times should be within a few seconds of the time shown. The moon and planets times are given to the second, but the actual time could be ± a minute. The program also gives:
