Thank you to JoAnne and Dick Partch for hosting the annual Holiday meeting at their beautiful home in Hannawa Falls. They provided the turkey which came to a total of $10.27 and were reimbursed from the club. The balance of our account is $243.24.

Christmas ornaments were exchanged a few times and at the end the annual “Five Golden Rings” song was led by Ron Frazer. Congratulations to Dorothy and Bill Mein for winning the box of fruit provided by Shirley and Dick Beane.

Carolyn Kazcka made a motion to donate $100 to Hospice from our membership account. Several members wholeheartedly agreed with Carolyn. However, several other members felt that, given the variety of charitable organizations available in our area, it might be more appropriate for individuals to make donations to the charity of their choice instead of one single donation coming from the Potsdam Ski Club. Shirley Metcalf made a motion to table the discussion.

The Fitzsimons will host the next meeting at their home in Colton on January 10, 2010 starting at 2:00 p.m. for skiing, to be followed at approximately 4:00 p.m. with a soup and sandwich dinner.

La Petite Rouge weekend is coming up the weekend of February 6th and 7th.

Finally, we asked who would like to host one of our upcoming spring meetings (March, April and May) but no one was ready to volunteer. We will ask again at our January meeting.
