Annual Cross-Country Gathering at Nelsons'
January 13, 2001

This year's x-c gathering was the largest ever at Nelsons', with nearly everyone skiing the new long trail and some hardy souls taking a quick trip around the shorter loop afterwards.

Present were Dave and Tellie Bray, Jutta Fitzsimmons and guests Bob and Sue Northrop, Bob and Sue Gibbs, Bill and Trish Lewis, Judy Lowell, Bill and Dorothy Mein, Russ and Heather (and Rebecca and Eric, and Toby), Bill and Cathy Petersen, and Buckley Riggs.

After the exercise, some of us undid all that good work by partaking too freely of the delicious food: sandwiches, wraps, chili, corn chowder, carrot cake, rhubarb pie, plus coffee--and a few "potent potables", as they say on "Jeopardy".

Since there was no business to attend to, there was no official meeting. The president thanked Russ and Heather for their gracious hospitality, and Russ received special thanks--and sincere appreciation from all the skiers--for breaking the trails yesterday and today.

A great time was had by all!
