Ski Zermatt

February 28 thru March 7, 1998

A group of us: Beth, Marika, Mich, Tellie, Dave, and Mich's friends: Leslie, Kevin, Dava and Larry spent a week skiing in Zermatt. Its a tough thing to have to do but someone had to do it, so we made the sacrifice.

The Matterhorn -- A sunrise view from our balcony greeted us on the first morning.
The scenery is magnificent.

Kevin arranged the trip. We stayed near the southern end of Zermatt in a small modern apartment building called the Zodiac. The Hein/Bray apartment was on the second floor with a perfect view of the ski area -- many lifts and trails.
The Zodiac is high on a hill above the street level of Zermatt.

This is the view from the our balcony. The roofs at the bottom center is the ski lift.

A telephoto views of the Zodiac from the trail to Zmutt near Zum See.

A view of the Zodiac from below. A view of the Zodiac from above.
That's the Hein/Bray balcony.
How does one get up to the Zodiac from the street level you ask?

Easy, the stairs -- all 173 of them one step at a time.
